Over the past few months Meeting Point has been working with the Henry Moore Institure and artist Bijan Amini-Alavijeh as part of Yorkshire Sculpture International. As a group we carved clay tiles which Bijan then made into a spectacular sculptural plinth that was unveiled at Christ Church last week. The result is a piece we are very proud of! Thanks Bijan and Alison! ☺️
People’s Postcode Trust is a grant-giving charity funded entirely by players of People’s Postcode Lottery. We are delighted to be recipients of their funds, which will keep the drop-in open in to 2020. Thank you!
The drop-in will continue to run throughout the summer holidays every Monday 3-6pm.
Women’s Group will also be running on Wednesdays 1-3pm.
English classes will take a break for the summer holidays and return to normal in September.
Thank you for all the ongoing support!
We are delighted to be opening over the Christmas period!
There will be a drop-in running 1.30-4.00pm on Christmas Eve and New Years Eve – open to all refugees and asylum seekers. It will be a slightly reduced service focussing mainly on food provision.
The Women’s Group and English classes will not be running and will recommence w/c 7th January.
Christmas, for some, is a time of giving. If you want to donate to a local charity knowing that 100% of your donation will go directly to supporting refugees and asylum seekers, please consider donating to Meeting Point! Link to how to do so is below:
