We are recruiting! Meeting Point is looking for a Project Manager
This is an exciting opportunity to manage a long established and highly valued service for asylum seekers and refugees.
You will be responsible for organising and leading the effective and safe running of our weekly drop ins creating a space where people from different backgrounds experience a sense of community, belonging, loving friendship and acceptance which embraces religious and cultural diversity.
You will lead on the delivery of the project’s strategic goals, adjusting to the ever-changing climate for refugees and asylum seekers. This will involve working closely and collaboratively with other refugee agencies, community groups, and statutory sector services. You will have a key role in exploring and securing funding for the project. Whilst this is challenging, we are a well-respected service and have been a going concern for over 20 years.
You will manage, motivate, and co-ordinate a small staff team as well as our fabulous team of dedicated volunteers.
The post is open to people of all faiths and none willing to embrace a shared ethos of treating people with compassion, dignity, and respect. This is a permanent contract for 21 hours per week (Mondays on site, remaining hours can be worked flexibly consistent with the needs of the job).
Closing date for applications: Midnight on Sunday, 30 June 2024.
Interview dates: Thursday evening, 11 July and Tuesday afternoon, 16 July at Christ Church, Armley Ridge Road, Leeds.
Please email claire.h@ccacp.org.uk for the Application pack containing the job description, person specification, background information and the application form.
Funding Success!
We are delighted to share the news that we have been successful in securing a grant from the Community Organisations Cost of Living Fund, delivered by The National Lottery Community Fund. This will help keep the project doors open for the rest of the year!
