From 12th January 2015 Meeting Point, will be temporarily relocating whilst renovation works take place at Christ Church. The works are expected to take thirteen weeks and during this time we will be moving to The Venerable Bede Church on Stanningley Road, just ten minutes’ walk away from our current venue. We intend to run a full program of activities during this time, continuing with our weekly drop-in and group activity work. There is the potential for a reduction in beneficiary numbers but we are doing all that we can to retain our client base and are working hard to make the transition as undisruptive as possible. Please note that our contact emails, phone number and postal address will remain unchanged throughout this time and we look forward to the benefits of a modern renovated space when we return to Christ Church following completion. We are very happy to have teamed up with Oblong Community Centre to offer a NHS funded HeadSpace course on Tuesdays for our beneficiaries. The course focuses on beating stress and feeling good! It teaches different techniques for managing your mood, including assertiveness, getting good sleep, self-esteem, dealing with stress and relaxation.
20 beneficiaries turned up for the first session! Clearly demonstrating the need for such provision within the community.
