On Monday 17th June 2013 Meeting Point celebrated its 10th birthday as part of the Refugee Week celebrations with a vibrant, multi-cultural party. Meeting Point was set up 10 years ago by members of the church in response to the growing number of asylum seekers and refugees moving into the area. They were often isolated and did not know how to access services. Since then Meeting Point has gone from strength to strength. The party was a great success with food and music from around the world. It was so lovely because many past beneficiaries came back to join the celebrations alongside present ones, partner agencies, supporters, volunteers and staff (old and new!) demonstrating the life and continuity of the project.
Thank you to all who attended and made it such a great and memorable day!
