MEETING POINT’S 10TH BIRTHDAY

On Monday 17th June 2013 Meeting Point celebrated its 10th birthday as part of the Refugee Week celebrations with a vibrant, multi-cultural party. Meeting Point was set up 10 years ago by members of the church in response to the growing number of asylum seekers and refugees moving into the area. They were often isolated and did not know how to access services. Since then Meeting Point has gone from strength to strength. The party was a great success with food and music from around the world. It was so lovely because many past beneficiaries came back to join the celebrations alongside present ones, partner agencies, supporters, volunteers and staff (old and new!) demonstrating the life and continuity of the project.

Thank you to all who attended and made it such a great and memorable day!

SKETCHES FOR MEETING POINT

Steve Beaumont, a long standing supporter of Meeting Point is generously fundraising for us by auctioning-off his sketches for a whole month between 17th June and 17th July 2013.

The  sketches will range from A4 head shots for £20 plus postage and full figure A4 sketches for £25 plus postage. All other sketches will have their own price tag depending on the amount of time it took to draw them but will still be affordable. All the money raised will go to support the work we do at Meeting Point.
